LUBO ALEXANDROV, LUBO & KABA HORO, Montreal

Born in Bulgaria, Lubo Alexandrov lives in Canada since 1990. With his band Lubo & Kaba Horo he develops a unique music style, which can be defined as a caffeinated mix of energetic, wild Balkan Gypsy songs and music with elements of urban funk/rock/jazz grooves. A mix so genius, their first CD wins the 2007 JUNO for best world music album in Canada.

This video covers two of Kaba Horo’s shows during the launch of their second album, Contrabanda, featuring some exceptional musicians of Bulgarian, Bosniac and Montreal origins and world famous guest artist, Coral Egan. Contrabanda is something bound to leave none sitting.
